The River is High!
Reservations
I am excited that people are finding it so easy to use our on-line reservation form. I am already starting to get reservations for summer canoeing and kayaking on the Chippewa River. People in Mt Pleasant, Michigan and and beyond are also calling with questions about the Chippewa River and what to look forward to this summer.
We also get calls occasionally from people interested in buying used canoes. This summer unfortunatly we are not able to sell any of our stock. Any canoe that we are not using I would not feel right about selling, it would need too much repair. We are however promoting new Current Designs Kayaks and Wenonah Canoes. Although we most likely wont keep a stock of these fine canoes and kayaks this summer it is in the plans for the near future.
As for the retired canoes stay tuned to hear more about some special projects in store for this summer. Involving gardens and art, along with paddling some of my favorite things!
Festival of Banners
We are so excited to have the talented Sean Flaherty working on a Buckley's Banner for the Mt Pleasant Festival of Banners sponsored by Art Reach We dont know exactly where the banner will be hanging up. Looking forward to checking out all the wonderful banners this summer!
Babble babble
Buckley's Mountainside Canoes is so happy to share with you our new updated website. With you, the paddler, in mind we tried to include features to make planning your trip as simple as possible. I hope you are as excited as I am about the upcoming paddling season. All this rain and snow we have been getting is saturating the water table and if it keeps up we will have a nice high river this season.
Let us know what we can do to improve our site. Our new logo will be launched early next week and some of the colors throughout the site will be tweaked to match. We hope you like the weather gizmo on the front page, our online reservation page, the map will be improved on this season to have interactive clicks to pictures of spots on the river.
Speaking of pictures, we are still looking for great pictures of fun on the Chippewa River. We would love to see your pictures, send them to , let us know if we can use them on our site or other materials!
Thanks hope to see you back soon, and on the river as well!
