Trip 2: School Road to Buckley's
This 2–3 hour trip begins with a quick shuttle to School Road Bridge. Paddle the scenic Chippewa River back to Buckley’s. Great for a peaceful afternoon on the water. Weekday trips start as late as 5:30 PM, and 6:30 PM on weekends.
Trip 1: River Road to Buckley's
Enjoy a 1–2 hour paddle starting with a quick shuttle to River Road Bridge. Float down the scenic Chippewa River and end at Buckley’s. Weekday trips can start as late as 5:30 PM, and 6:30 PM on weekends. Perfect for a relaxing short adventure!
Trip 3: Buckley's to Deerfield
Enjoy a 3–4 hour paddle starting at Buckley’s and ending at Deerfield Park. After your scenic trip down the Chippewa River, a shuttle brings you back. Weekday trips can begin as late as 2:00 PM and 3:00 PM on weekends—perfect for a half-day river adventure!
Trip 4: Buckley's to Meridian
This 4–5 hour journey starts at Buckley’s and takes you through scenic stretches of the Chippewa River, ending at Meridian Park. After your paddle, a shuttle returns you to Buckley’s. Start as late as 1:00 PM on weekdays and 2:00 PM on weekends. Ideal for nature lovers!

Embark on a 6–7 hour adventure starting with a shuttle to School Road Bridge. Paddle the scenic Chippewa River, passing Buckley’s, and end at Deerfield Park. A shuttle will then return you to Buckley’s. Weekday trips can start as late as 11:00 AM and 12:00 PM on weekends.
Overnights
Overnight trips are available by reserving a campsite with Deerfield Nature Park . Deerfield's Beaver Lodge Campground is a primitive camp site only accessible by the river or a one mile hike. It is a great option for a peaceful getaway close to town. You have the option of a 1-5 hour float the first day and a 30 minute easy out to a 3 hour second day. Camping
Deerfield Park's Beaverlodge Campground, only accessible by a mile hike or the river. Our relaxing overnight trips stop here reservations through Isabella County Parks
Also make reservations through them for Coldwater and Herrick Parks, available with more amenities.
Gammy Woods Campground is Central Michigan's best kept secret, located very close to Buckley's on Coldwater Road.
Blue Gill Lake Family Camping Resort in Mecosta County, great fishing borders 2080 acre Martiny Chain of Lakes
Camping near The Soaring Eagle Casino and Resort, about 20 minutes from Buckley's is available at Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe Campground
